The Whoppa Choppa allows your fodder resource to be used more efficiently through less wastage and higher consumption rates of the fodder presented.
Built in Australia, the Whoppa Choppa is a PTO driven chopping wagon requiring a 40-44kw tractor to drive it. All operations can be done from the tractor seat saving time. Hydraulic forks lift the bale onto the cutting drum knives and a second bale can be carried on the forks.
Hay or Silage is cut into 5-10cm lengths making it more digestible and it is dropped into a 30-60cm wide window. One round bale can be stretched to a 150m row giving more room for animals to eat without bullying. A side elevator can be added for delivery sideways on feedpads, and a spray tank will allow addition of supplements such as molasses.
Graham Wood Machinery designed and had the Whoppa Choppa manufactured in Australia. It is efficient, reliable and relatively maintenance free (grease the machine at regular intervals and occasionally sharpen the cutting knives). Ongoing costs are all but eliminated as the Whoppa Choppa uses only a series of heavy duty shafts, pulleys and basic straight forward hydraulics.
The Whoppa Choppa has been sold around Australia to many happy owners who experience better returns using less fodder.
